What Is the Initiative?

The Keep It Local initiative emerged from the Cree Nation Government's resolution declaring the year of "Strategic Enhancement of the Eeyou Eenou Economy." The Campaign encourages community members to support local businesses by choosing to shop within the community. It promotes economic growth and helps build a stronger, more resilient community by keeping spending within Eeyou Istchee.

What are the prizes?

2 x $500 gift cards each month. Winners can select up to 2 businesses to buy from with their gift card.

How will the winners be selected and announced?

Winners will be randomly chosen and contacted by email. If they are selected, winners will be asked for a copy or photo of their receipt.

What are the rules and eligibility criteria?

Participants must be 16 years old at the time of purchase. Each receipt above $10.00 will be eligible as one entry for a chance to win one of ten $500 gift cards* to any participating locations in one of the nine communities in Eeyou Istchee.
